On the occasion of International Women's Day, the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi, reinforced his dedication towards Nari Shakti by transferring his social media handles to six women and showcasing their empowering stories.

All six women represent different parts of the nation with unique stories which were experienced through PM Modi's effort.

These women include Vaishali Rameshbabu of Chennai, Dr. Anjlee Agarwal from Delhi, Anita Devi of Nalanda, Elina Mishra from Bhubaneswar, Ajaita Shah of Rajasthan, and Shilpi Soni from Sagar.

Following are details of these talented women:

Elina Mishra and Shilpi Soni
Elina Mishra and Shilpi Soni are two scientists 
who are engaged in state-of-the-art research and technology, and who handled PM Modi's social media accounts simultaneously.




Elina Mishra works as a nuclear scientist at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, and Shilpi Soni is a space scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). 

She founder and CEO of Frontier Markets, Ajaita Shah contributed to the development of a better rural entrepreneurship ecosystem by enabling more than 35,000 digitally empowered women entrepreneurs.

Through her initiative she enables women to be independent business owners and last-mile distributors of critical goods and services, facilitating the link between rural markets and economic development.


Vaishali Rameshbabu
Chess 
whiz kid Vaishali Rameshbabu competitvely played the game from the age of six and earned the coveted title of Chess Grandmaster in 2023.

She has 
brought pride to the country on the international stage with her strategic genius and perseverance.

Anita Devi
Nicknamed the "Mushroom Lady of Bihar," Anita Devi founded the Madhopur Farmers Producers Company in 2016.

By mushroom farming, she not only empowered but also provided employment for hundreds of rural women, opening the door to financial independence and economic empowerment.

Dr. Anjlee Agarwal
A beacon 
in the movement working for universal accessibility, Dr. Anjlee Agarwal is the proprietor of Samarthyam Centre for Universal Accessibility.

She has devoted herself towards providing inclusive mobility and barrier-free facilities for over 3 decadesparticularly schools and public buildings with the sole motive of improving accessibility for all individuals with disability.



Prime minister Narendra Modi praised the efforts of these women and congratulated them on being the pioneers of the Viksit Bharat mission.
